Diagnosis, Fitting and Counseling Strategies to Improve Long-term Hearing Aid Benefit
Medical Technologies and Audioscan are pleased to present a pre-conference seminar on Thursday, February 23rd, 2012 (one day ahead of the Upper Midwest Audiology Conference) designed to examine the issues of cortical neuroplasticity from the hearing aid fitting perspective. The course will offer a method of defining and delivering long-term hearing aid benefit based on the verified delivery of audible speech. Unique new counseling tools will be featured that demonstrate hearing aid benefit objectively. New diagnostic procedures that enhance the clinician's ability to determine hearing aid candidacy will be explored. A therapeutic mechanism to exercise the newly aided auditory system will be discussed. Hands-on practical experience will be provided.
