About The Course
This course satisfies the complete DOT Breath Alcohol Training requirements (Units 1-8 of the DOT model course). Each course is designed to promote intense training on a specific instrument

Course Objectives
This class teaches the complete operation: testing procedures, calibration, and maintenance, of the INITOXYLIZER instrument. Additionally, BATs will be taught the proper DOT testing protocol, including record keeping, and the complete rules and regulations of the January 1, 1995 DOT mandate on Breath Alcohol Testing. Hands-on and a written test are required for successful completion.

Certification
Upon completion of the course (a passing grade on the final exam), BATs are CMI certified to perform DOT-Approved Breath Alcohol Exams with their INTOXYLIZER instrument. CMI will also issue a Certificate of Completion as evidence of certification. Train The Trainer Courses Train the Trainer Courses are designed to meet the needs of those organizations that require multiple Breath Alcohol Technicians. We train one or more of your employees to become a BAT who then receives a license to train others in your organization to become BATs. This may be a more cost-effective way for a number of people to be trained.

A TTT will learn everything that a regular BAT would learn, plus more background on the DOT regulations. This course also prepares the trainer to effectively instruct his or her own course.
