Occupational Audiometric Technician Courses

About The Courses
Hearing conservation courses co-sponsored by Medical Technologies are certified by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) and are conducted in accordance with CAOHC's Industrial Training Guide.

Courses include exposure to manual, audiometric, and micro-processor audiometers. Generous time allotments are included for practice and industrial counseling to assure participants have ample opportunity to develop proficiency.

Refresher courses are also offered which review the key portions of conducting a hearing conservation program over a single day. Most organizations recommend certified audiometric technicians attend refresher courses every 3-5 years and some may require periodic retraining. Check with your accrediting body for requirements in your state.

About The Course Director
Course director Mark Cheple is certified by CAOHC. A certificate of satisfactory completion of the course will qualify participants to apply for formal CAOHC certification.
