Recertification Course in Spirometry Testing and Method Standardization
About The Course
The one day refresher course is now recommended by a recent ACOEM Position Paper to be taken every three years.

Who Should Attend
This course is designed for physicians, registered nurses, and other health professionals engaged in spirometric testing in both the industrial and clinical setting, as well as those involved in the design and implementation of a respiratory health screening and/or surveillance programs.

Continuing Education Credits
This course provides 10.2 contact hours. It is up to the individual participant to verify acceptance of these units by their state agency or other organization.

Faculty
Dr. Alan Palmer, President of Palmer Associates, is an epidemiologist and respiratory physiologist with 30 years of experience in pulmonary function testing. While with the U.S. Public Health Service, Dr. Palmer served with the Chronic Respiratory Disease Control Program and with NIOSH as Chief of the Epidemiology Field Servey Branch.
